A beloved tradition is the annual neighborhood festival around Theaterplatz. Organized by the Theaterplatz-Quartier association, which unites eight cultural institutions located here, it celebrates this cultural area in the heart of Basel's city center with open doors on this day! With performances, happenings, exhibitions, concerts, readings, short films, children's programs with historical games, numerous interactive activities, as well as food stalls, there is something for all age groups. A special highlight are the impressive walks through the workshops, back entrances, and hidden places of the neighborhood. This year, the "Spanish Night" is also part of the Theaterplatz Festival. The full program will be published on their website in late summer.
