In the spring of 2021, when the entire music and culture industry was forced to a standstill and put on ice, Ad-Rian's phone rang. At the other end of the line was drummer Thomas Wild, who, together with bassist Mauro Zompicchiatti, embodied the rhythm section of Polo Hofer's Schmetterband for over 20 years. The two Swiss musical heavyweights (they have been on stage together for an incredible 43 years) formed a “trio looking for a singer and a new project” with Berni Weber from Zug, a piano and keyboard virtuoso. In the newly furnished rehearsal room in Cham, the four exceptional talents set about working on Ad-Rian's song catalog, which spans several decades. Ad-Rian's latest album, "Out of the Ashes," was released in May 2022—the musicians also contributed to its creation. Shortly after the release of the new album, the four musicians reached into the pot of luck again. Almost out of nowhere, Chris Stalder appeared on the scene and gave the band the big win: he has since completed the newly formed band “Ad-Rian & The Rise” with his outstanding guitar sounds. Ad-Rian's musical language can be described as the language of space, which is also strongly influenced live by the band The Rise. The understanding of atmospheric sounds that Weber and Stalder bring to the band is paired with clear, musical announcements that impress with their presence. Wild and Zompicchiatti provide a solid rhythm foundation with their over four decades of experience.
