Whether solo or as the Lovebugs’ frontman, Adrian Sieber is one of Switzerland’s busiest composers of catchy tunes. He actually wrote his first song 40 years ago and he has penned hundreds more since then—songs that have enjoyed international acclaim and chart success and been played to sold-out crowds. Sieber is currently working on his third solo album, which will be released in the spring of 2022 on his label, Some Of My Best Friends Are Songs. The name of the label says everything you need to know about this very special concert at Kaserne Basel—Sieber is turning 50 in 2022 and wants to do it in style, together with his, well, “best friends.” To ensure a rapturous event, he will bring a selection of his extensive repertoire to the stage in a new guise. This evening will include solo songs, obscure Lovebugs’ tracks, and possibly also some unreleased treats written by the birthday boy.
