Since their founding over 20 years ago, Äl Jawala have earned themselves a reputation as one of the best Balkan bands in Germany, from the streets to clubs, worldwide festival appearances, and countless recordings. Their recipe for success consists of their cosmopolitan approach, in which they sometimes combine their powerful horns with hip-hop or club beats, or—always on the lookout for new sounds—undertake extensive excursions into Afrobeat or Oriental realms.
