“Fast Eine Oper” (Almost an opera) with the string orchestra Camerata Basilea and clarinetist François Benda is a journey into the world of opera—almost. The Camerata Basilea will delight their listeners with well-known melodies from classical operas. The clarinet solo will be interpreted by the world-renowned clarinetist and professor at the Musik-Akademie Basel, François Benda. Included in the program will be Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “A Little Night Music,” Luigi Bassi’s Concert Fantasy on themes from the opera “Rigoletto” by Giuseppe Verdi, Verdi’s String Quartet in E minor, and Iwan Müller’s Fantasy on the theme of Gioacchino Rossini’s “Una voce poco fa.”
