Anna Vogt & Tobias Künzli / Lucas Zibulski Quartet — Ocell

On this evening, Jazz Festival Basel will be presenting a double concert entitled “Future Sounds – The Next Generation.”
Tobias Künzli and Anna Vogt have been performing as a musical duo since 2017. With "Slow Focus," the pianist and the singer distill the experiences of their musical exchange, developing their own unique voice. Influences from the swing era are enriched with elements of classical music and free improvisation. They move effortlessly through form and time, giving each piece a fresh character. "Slow Focus" is challengingly direct, yet always enveloped in a soft, mellow sound.
Ocell met while studying together in Basel. With their own compositions and their debut album "Ocell," the band successfully toured Germany and Spain in 2025. The band and their music are characterized by warm sounds and captivating arcs of tension. Rooted in different parts of Europe (Catalonia, Switzerland, Spain, and Germany), the four friends and musicians each bring influences from their own musical traditions—from folk and jazz to pop—creating an organic overall sound.
Tickets are CHF 17.80-31.00.
