Anne-Sophie Mutter is a musical phenomenon! For 46 years now, the virtuoso has been performing in all major music centers around the world and has shaped the classical music scene as a soloist, mentor, and visionary. The four-time Grammy Award winner is as committed to the performance of traditional compositions as she is to the future of music.
Compared to the large-orchestral concerts, the concert in Basel will offer a different insight into Mutter's musical diversity. Violin sonatas and piano trios by Ludwig van Beethoven, Clara Schumann, Sebastian Currier, and Johannes Brahms performed alongside pianist Lambert Orkis and cellist Maximilian Hornung offer an intimate and unique concert experience. The chamber music of the trio shows the outstanding ensemble ability of the soloist. The Stadtcasino Basel will give the concert a personal touch and ensure the right atmosphere, which will be crowned by the Swiss premiere of Sebastian Currier's “Ghost Trio”—composition by the American composer, created especially for the star violinist and her ensemble.
Tickets are CHF 190.50-220.50.
