Aterballetto — Double Side
The Italian company Aterballetto has been presenting impressive and visually stunning creations on stage since 1979. Its members have excellent classical ballet technique, but the productions are elegantly modern in terms of appearance and movement. The latest program juxtaposes two creations by Canadian choreographer Danièle Desnoyers and Cuban choreographer Norge Cedeño Raffo. In Desnoyer's piece, the full beauty of baroque music is unfolded, so the dancers are joined by the strings of the Quartetto Motus of the La Toscanini Ensemble from Parma. The piece "Stabat Mater" by Cedeño Raffo begins with the image of Mary mourning her crucified son. How can one find hope again after such a great loss? That is the question that Cedeño Raffo tries to answer in his choreography.
This co-production of Festival Aperto, Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto, and Fondazione Arturo Toscanini will have an introduction 45 minutes before the start of the event.
Tickets are € 39-56 for adults and € 12 for youths.
