The dance projects of the Taiwanese choreographer Po-Cheng Tsai combine dance styles from East Asia with contemporary dance from the Westballet, hip hop, and jazz with Tai Chi, martial arts, kung fu or Chinese folk dance. "ALICE" is the result of the international collaboration between Tsai's dance project B.DANCE and the American dancer and choreographer Kathleen McNurney, who revolutionized the dance department of the Lucerne Theater for 12 years with wit, emotion, and many collaborations and has been President of Danse Suisse since 2021.
In this classic of children's literature, a fantasy world full of wonder is combined with the art of Zen and immersed in a breathtaking choreography with haute couture costumes and elegant scenography. The audience is taken to a very special wonderland, to a mirror labyrinth full of artistic projections and visual impressions, to an atmosphere of oddities that is at the same time deeply psychological. B.DANCE has already won several international awards for their physically impressive and emotionally touching performances, which are accessible and inspiring for a diverse audience.
