Ballet and Orchestra — Swan Lake
“Swan Lake,” a timeless masterpiece of classical ballet, celebrates its comeback in 2024. Discover the romantic love of the Swan Princess and her Prince on a brand-new tour through France and Europe, with magnificent sets and sparkling costumes, in the latest production. This ballet immerses the audience in the magical story of Prince Siegfried and Princess Odette. Odette is the victim of the wizard Rothbart's famous spell—she turns into a swan by day and becomes a woman again by night. Only the promise of eternal love can set her free. Siegfried promises Odette that he will marry her at the ball held in his honor. Will the two of them escape the tricks of Rothbart and his daughter Odile? Will the prince succeed in rescuing his bride?
The piece was created in 1875 by the Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and revived in 1895 by the choreographer Marius Petipa. He said that "Swan Lake" would become the greatest classical success. Between "Pas de deux," romantic duets, and the "Dance of the Little Swans," the dancers, accompanied by a renowned orchestra, interpret this masterful work with elegance. A symbol of romantic ballet, “Swan Lake” fascinates and enchants children and adults alike.
Tickets are CHF 68.30-109.50.
