Ballet Fairy Tale with Narrator — The Nutcracker
Tchaikovsky's ballet world is a world of magic, wonderland, and fairy tales. The score to Tchaikovsky's popular “Nutcracker” is one of the most ingenious and brilliant ever composed for a ballet, and one of extreme elegance. Famous numbers such as the Waltz of the Flowers, the Waltz of the Snowflakes, and the Divertissement motifs enchant children and take adults back to their childhood.
The story of the Nutcracker is as characteristic of Christmas as the smell of baked apples and the eternal glittering tinsel. The story of children who are taken by a gifted nutcracker to distant lands and distant peoples in their dreams on Christmas Eve always delights young and old. This special, beautiful version of this ballet classic has been designed for all children age 4-94, created for children, but in no way childish! The loving performance is danced demandingly and with great elegance by a top-class ballet ensemble with outstanding international soloists. Colorful costumes and an imaginative stage design promise to enchant every child's heart. A narrator leads through the performance (in German) with catchy little poems full of humor, charm, and love to captivate young and old alike.
Tickets are CHF 51.40-67.80 for adults and CHF 31.00-43.30 for children up to age 17.
