After a two-year pandemic break, the fabulous Baloise Session is back! At these concerts, you can listen to your favorite stars in an intimate and unique New York-style club setting with round tables, candlelight, and even a drink in hand. The Baloise Sessions are also unique in that all concerts are double headers, with two main performers who have something in common—be it a similar style, history, geographical background, or some other link or shared characteristic that is often surprising.
This evening, aptly entitled “Irish Emotions,” will be bringing music from the mystical Emerald Isle. The Irish simply have music in their blood. The headliner, Kodaline, enchant with magic melodies tinged with melancholy. Near Dublin there is a place called Swords. This is where the four friends who formed Kodaline 17 years ago come from. Their songs tell of hardships and joy in their island home, with catchy melodies and soft melancholy.
Supporting act and songwriter from Dublin, Gavin James, is vocally powerful and authentic and has a large, loyal fan base. He skillfully and tastefully combines Irish folklore with elements from rock and pop. He is also blessed with a fantastic voice. As a dyed-in-the-wool musician, this scion from a musical family made it into the charts with his hits while still remaining an amiable man of the people.
Tickets are CHF 70-110.
