The Basler Gesangverein (Basel Choral Society) is the oldest existing mixed choir in Switzerland and presents at least two concerts annually. This November, they are collaborating with the Kammerorchester Basel to perform two pieces: Johannes Brahms’ “A German Requiem,” with soprano Laurence Guillod and baritone Leon Košavić, and Andrea Scartazzini’s “Dies Illa,” which is a commissioned composition as part of the 200th anniversary of the Basler Gesangverein.
Tickets range from CHF 21-72.30 for adults, 50% discount for students, and are available through Ticketcorner or at Bider & Tanner (https://www.biderundtanner.ch).
