Basel History Days — Fire and Flame

Various Locations

The “Basler Geschichtstage” (Basel History Days) are the new series of events in the Basel region that will take place for the first time, under the motto “Feuer und Flamme” (Fire and Flame). Over 40 institutions and clubs from across the region offer a fireworks display of history with more than 70 events for young and old to experience, listen to, and take part in.
If you are enthusiastic about Basel's history and have always wanted to get to know the diverse offerings and the institutions behind them, then you definitely shouldn't miss the Basel History Days. Visit exhibitions, join a tour, hear a presentation, or partake in a workshop on a variety of topics from Basel’s earthquake of 1356 and how fires were fought historically, to feminist protests and cantonal separation (check out the full program at https://baslergeschichtstage.ch/programm1/). With just one ticket you have access to many institutions and events for the entire week, as well as to the big festival on Saturday at Barfüsserplatz.
Tickets that provide access to all events for the week are CHF 25 for adults and CHF 10 for persons under age 20, students under age 30, or holders of the Schweizer Museumspass or Museums-Pass-Musées, Colourkey and KulturLegi; and free for kids under age 12 (free ticket required). Tickets for Saturday only are CHF 10 for adults, CHF 5 for students, and free for kids under age 12. Purchase your ticket online; at the first admission check, your digital ticket will be validated and exchanged for a physical ticket.
