The fifth Basel Vegan Messe at the KUSPO in Münchenstein is the largest event of its kind in Switzerland with an expected 4,500-5,000 visitors and 70-100 food and nonfood exhibitors from Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, and England. Throughout the weekend, consumers, businesses, and animal protection organizations meet in one location to exchange information about current trends, including new products and the global situation of animals, nature, and the climate. The range of offers at the fair includes many new vegan meat alternatives and cheese variants, baked goods and pasta, vegetable chips, vegan salmon, and spreads. Delicious cookies, ice cream, and chocolate from leading Swiss and international suppliers; tasty organic beers and drinks; spices and sauces will also be presented. The nonfood area includes fashion, women's handbags made of cactus leaves, cosmetics, jewelry, wristwatches with leather alternatives, and wristbands from England, as well as a tattoo studio that uses vegan colors. Additionally, four-star hotels from Austria and Germany present their vegan services and products. This is an event for the whole family with exciting sales stands, food trucks, and information events for young and old (dogs are also welcome!)!
Admission is CHF 10 per person, kids up to age 12 are free.
