The Basler Gesangverein (Basel Choral Society) is the oldest mixed concert choir in Switzerland. Since 2020, the choir has been led by the internationally renowned conductor Facundo Agudin. Professional coaching and vocal training in small groups, as well as collaborations with professional orchestras and first-class soloists, enable them to perform at a high musical level.
In this evening concert, the Basler Gesangverein and the Orchestre Musique des Lumières will be playing Robert Schumann’s “The Rose Pilgrimage,” op. 112 and Ioana Ilie’s “The Evening Star” (after a poem by M. Eminescu).
Tickets are CHF 45-75 for adults and half-price for students and youths.
