The Basler Wymärt is a small, fine, and friendly wine fair. At this special market, winegrowers will present their wines from surrounding areas in Switzerland and other wine-growing regions in Europe, including wines that have been produced biologically or biodynamically. This edition of the Basler Wymärt will take place at the Alte Markthalle (a short walk from the SBB), a trendy location for eating and drinking that can accommodate 1,000 guests daily. Come by public transport and enjoy!
Note that entry to the Basler Wymärt is only permitted to people ages 18 and over. Dogs are not allowed.
Admission is free with an entry ticket that you get from your winemaker or retailer. Otherwise, tickets are CHF 10 if you register ahead of time on the Basler Wymärt website, otherwise CHF 20. There is no obligation to buy, but anyone who orders wine from one of the exhibitors will have the entry price refunded. You will need to leave a CHF 10 deposit for a wine glass, which will be reimbursed to you upon exit.
