The groundbreaking bassist/composer Kinga Glyck released "Real Life" in January 2024, her third studio album for Warner Music and the successor to "Feelings," released in 2019. In 2017, a 20-year-old came from Poland and—like no jazz musician before her—caused a sensation with unimaginable click numbers for her "Tears in Heaven" video. After that, she was on tour almost nonstop, playing in small clubs and at large festivals.
With her fresh, unspoiled style and concentrated youthful power, this young woman is catapulting jazz into a new orbit. And even though her start to her music career was meteoric, you can hear in Glyck’s playing that her whole life was shaped by music. "When I was a little girl, I always pretended to be a bass player, and I always knew that I wanted to play bass. For me, it's the best instrument in the world," she says. And what a wonderful path she has taken to fulfill this dream.
