This is where talents converge. At the Bayerisches Junior Ballett München (Bavarian Junior Ballet Munich), founded in 2010 by Ivan Liška as a junior company of the Bavarian State Ballet, dancers receive comprehensive 2-year training for everyday company and dance life. Not only that, but the crème de la crème of the choreography world rehearses a wide variety of dance pieces with these highly talented youngsters. The company boasts a dazzling repertoire, and "Tanzglanz" brings together five choreographies by five renowned choreographers: master John Neumeier rehearsed his miniature "Bach Suite 3," which premiered in 1981; Eric Gauthier rehearsed his humorous "Ballet 102" about the dance duet; Richard Siegal's "3/4 Preludes" uses George Gershwin's music as its movement basis; Ralf Jaroschinski's witty male duet "Intuition Blast" combines modern dance and hip hop; and Jorma Elo's energetic ballet piece "Slice to Sharp" lives up to its title.
Tickets are € 32-52 for adults and € 25.60- 41.60 for students.
