The multifaceted U.S. jazz pianist and composer Emmet Cohen is one of the most talented jazz musicians of his generation. Thanks to his smart presence on social media channels, he quickly became well known worldwide. He has played and/or recorded with musicians like Ron Carter, Benny Golson, Christian McBride, Billy Hart, Cyrille Aimée, and many more. Cohen is considered a prodigy who began taking piano lessons at age 3, and his play quickly became a mature amalgamation of musicality, technique, and concept. For years, he has been leading the Emmet Cohen Trio; he is also a lively solo artist and is in high demand as a sideman. Like Samara Joy he is part of the “Young Generation” who are devoting themselves to jazz tradition and seek to reactivate it in a creative way.
