Blues in Church — Eric Bibb Trio

A two-time Grammy nominee and recipient of multiple Blues Foundation awards, Eric Bibb is known and revered around the world for mastering his own musical destiny with honesty and strength. Bibb’s father, the late Leon Bibb, was an activist, actor, and folk singer who marched with Dr. Martin Luther King in Selma. Eric Bibb spent his youth in the Greenwich Village folk scene. People like Dylan, Baez, and Seeger were guests in his home. He was deeply influenced by Odetta, Richie Havens, and Taj Mahal—who guests on “Ridin'”— and has blended it all into a style all his own.
As the follow-up to his multi-award winning and critically acclaimed 2021 album “Dear America,” “Ridin'” is a continuation of the vision that characterizes Bibb's artistry as a modern blues troubadour. Rooted in the folk and blues tradition with a contemporary sensibility, Bibb's music continues to reflect his thoughts on current world events and his own experiences while remaining entertaining, uplifting, inspiring, and relevant.
