Sound, spirituality, and haptics that go under the skin—Caroline Davis’ Portals concentrates on mourning and the communication with the ancestors. The alto sax player understands her music as a portal that serves to get in contact with her ancestors. Davis’ band therefore acts as a connecting link between the dual and non-dual areas of our existence.
