At this concert, which will be performed and moderated by members of Sinfonieorchester Basel, you will hear works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Antonio Vivaldi.
The “Freundeskreis Sinfonieorchester Basel” (Friends of Sinfonieorchester Basel) presents a new chamber music series, which it organizes together with members of the Sinfonieorchester Basel in the orchestra’s domicile and rehearsal space at Picassoplatz. At this concert, they will open their doors to interested future members and visitors.
Tickets can only be purchased at the box office on site and in cash for a contribution of CHF 20 towards costs.

On this occasion, members of the Sinfonieorchester Basel will perform Louise Farrenc’s Nonet for Winds and Strings in E-flat major, op. 38, and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s “A Midsummer Night's Dream,” op. 61, arranged for 10 winds by Andreas Nicolai Tarkmann.
Entrance is free but there will be a collection.
