The Zürich-based Gringolts Quartet brings together four musicians from four countries who have been friends through many chamber music encounters: for years, the Russian violinist Ilya Gringolts, the Romanian violist Silvia Simionescu and the Armenian violinist Anahit Kurtikyan have performed together in various formations at international festivals; the German cellist Claudius Herrmann played with Anahit Kurtikyan in the renowned Amati Quartet Zürich. What they have in common is their great passion for playing string quartets.
On this evening, alongside soprano Sarah Wegener, they will be playing works by Joseph Haydn, Heinz Holliger, and Franz Schubert.
Tickets are CHF 33-68 for adults, CHF 28-58 for students under age 30, and CHF 5 for youths under age 20.
