Christina Martin

Atlantis Basel
Wednesday, 15 November
21:00

Hailing from Canada's windswept east coast, Christina Martin is a charismatic musician and performer. Her music dances effortlessly through pop, rock, folk, and Americana traditions and isn't afraid to delve into completely unfamiliar waters. Her debut album “Pretty Things” from 2002, characterized by a pithy Austin flair, led her to rousing rock songs like “It'll Be Alright” (2015) to the expansive, almost cinematic dreamscapes of “Impossible to Hold” (2018). Martin always shows herself as an artist who is not only constantly changing, but also developing personally and artistically. Despite all their development, her songs have one thing in common—a common thread of authenticity and honesty through which she tells her stories about human events. Whether personal inside views or stories about third parties, each of her songs is written with deep love and hits the listener right in the heart. With her brand-new album, which is more expansive and orchestral than any of her previous albums, Martin invites you to join her on the path from old to new strength.
Tickets are CHF 30 in advance or CHF 35 at the door.
