Cinema in the Courtyard of the Pharmacy Museum
From Wednesday to Friday, the courtyard of the the cozy museum courtyard of the Pharmacy History Museum of the University of Basel will be transformed into an open-air cinema. The historical films, which start around 21:00, will center around the theme of the museum and include ”Opium” (1919) on August 24; “In Old California” (1942; German version) starring John Wayne on August 25; and the 1950’s movie “Panic in the Streets” (German version), which is an atmospheric criminal thriller about a virus threatening New Orleans, on August 26.
In the event of bad weather, the screenings will take place in the lecture hall. The cinema bar opens at 20:00 to take care of your physical well-being with drinks, popcorn, and ice cream. The movies start at 21:00.
