The circus project Circo Fantazztico from San Isidro, Costa Rica, offers young circus artists from the edges of society an opportunity to train and spend their leisure time. As an alternative to criminalization and street gangs, the circus creates a social community and offers youth a safe place to enhance the feeling of community and develop self confidence.
The new piece "El lenguaje de las nubes" tells the exciting story of an inquisitive child who goes on an adventure in a lively neighborhood to discover the secrets of life. Inspired by the works of art of the Costa Rican painter and poet Francisco Amighetti, Circo Fantazztico stages an artistic stage performance that combines acrobatics, dance, and juggling in a fascinating circus theater piece.
Circo Fantazztico knows how to bring socially critical topics to the stage without losing the artistic flair and fascination of the circus world. The young artists have already enchanted audiences with their talent and charm on previous tours.
The show will take place at the Querfeldhalle (Halle 8) on the Gundeldinger Feld Areal.
Admission is free, but there will be a collection for the circus project.
