Circus — Compagnie MPTA: Ali
A lamp, three legs, four crutches, and a wooden chair—two acrobats test their limits on stage. “Ali” plays with the fusion of two bodies, pictorial illusions, and the interface between circus and dance. “Ali” is an affirmation of life itself, a dance on three legs. The short piece by the French-famous Compagnie MPTA (an abbreviation for “Les Mains les Pieds et la Tête Aussi”) has been delighting audiences since 2008 and is now coming to Basel for the first time (https://www.mpta.fr/). This event is in cooperation with the Tanzfest Basel. The presentation lasts 25 minutes and is Ideal for families with kids ages 7 and up.
