Classical Stars Rheinfelden — “Baroque & Beatles”

The stars shine brightly at the Klassik Sterne Rheinfelden concert series, launched by the Hochrhein Music Festival. Since the 2010/11 season, artistic director Sol Gabetta and cultural manager Christoph Müller have been bringing top-class classical music stars to Rheinfelden to offer audiences a broad and diverse program.
On this evening, the Kammerorchester Basel with concert master Dmitry Smirnov and saxophonist Asya Fateyeva will present an evening full of contrasts and timbres: Bach's "Brandenburg Concerto," Vivaldi's virtuoso concertos, Marcello's Concerto in C minor, and Cimarosa’s Concerto in C minor meet Beatles songs like "Yesterday" and "Here Comes the Sun." The focus is on Fateyeva, who is one of the preeminent representatives of classical saxophone and who with her artistic vision and diversity clearly places her instrument at the center of the music scene.
Tickets are CHF 29-49 for adults and half-price for youths up to age 18 and students.
