Carlos Ferreira's passionate clarinet playing is captivating. For this, the Portuguese received 2nd prize at the renowned ARD competition in Munich in 2019. In this concert, he shares the stage with trombonist Kris Garfitt, who won 1st place at the 2022 ARD competition! "Rising Stars" are also the young conductors from the class of Professor Johannes Schlaefli, chief conductor of the Collegium Musicum Basel, who, in cooperation with the Zürich University of the Arts, are graduating with this concert.
