The "Rising Stars" concert by Collegium Musicum Basel brings three exceptional young soloists to the stageLuka Coetzee, who won 1st prize at the International Paulo Cello Competition in Helsinki in 2023; Dmytro Udovychenko, who won 1st prize at the renowned Le Grand Prix International Reine Elisabeth in Brussels in 2024; and Leonid Surkov, who won 1st prize at the ARD International Music Competition in Munich in the oboe category in 2024. Under the direction of Benjamin Reiners, these three rising stars, accompanied by the Collegium Musicum Basel, will perform works by Richard Strauss, Robert Schumann, and Sergei Prokofiev. An evening full of virtuosity and musical excellence awaits the audience. This will be Benjamin Reiners' first guest concert at the Collegium Musicum Basel. As one of the most renowned conductors of his generation, he is a sought-after guest conductor at leading opera houses and symphony orchestras. For the 25/26 season, he will be the new General Music Director of the Chemnitz Municipal Theater and Chief Conductor of the Robert Schumann Philharmonic.
Tickets are CHF 49-84 for adults and CHF 15.80 for youths and students.
