This concert illustrates the arc of the musical approach to war from the Renaissance to the 20th century, from Schütz's timid plea to God, "Give Our Princes Peace" to the anti-war manifesto "Against the War" by Hanns Eisler, and the "Songs on the first evening of the war” by Thomas Jennefelt. The music is intended to symbolize the hope—"Never again war!"
Tickets are CHF 35-45 for adults and CHF 25-35 for students.
