The Basel band POLAR is christening their new album “POLAR2” at the Markthalle event room (Wohnzimmer). POLAR is a duo project by Adrian Schäublin (Fender Rhodes piano, electronics) and Felix Handschin (drums, electronics). The two musicians create sound images that explore the broad poles between Nordic, clear night skies, and warming, comfortable sound spaces. From quiet, ambient-like sections to driving, rhythmically pulsating structures, a range of soundscapes is explored in compositions and improvisations.
