The seven-member band Conference from the Basel area offers the audience a wide range of styles and gives their titles an unmistakable touch through independent interpretations. The band draws the musical essence from a huge pool of pieces by wonderful artists, ranging from George Duke, The Crusaders, George Benson, Earth Wind and Fire, Johnny "Guitar" Watson, Stevie Wonder, and Eddie Harris. Funk at their core, soulful-jazzy voices, sharp brass sections, pulsating grooves of drums and bass, rich guitar riffs, warm Hammond sounds, supporting pianos, and catchy solos—that's the world of Conference. Uncompromising funk titles alternate with gentle ballads, earthy R&B titles, fine jazz standards, and rousing soul numbers. Conference loves the cultivated groove of handpicked musical gems. For more than 10 years, the band has been inspiring with a varied program and great joy of playing and offers a sound experience with captivating grooves, to which you can also easily move.
