Contemporary Circus — Common Ground
Common Ground is a German-Belgian-Dutch collective of six artists with many years of experience in circus and vaudeville. Together they have developed a piece that brings together aerial artistry on the swing trapeze, acrobatics on the Chinese pole, banquine, and hand-on-hand acrobatics in a virtuoso way in a constantly changing stage set and accompanied by live music. The collective feels committed to the spirit of contemporary circus and does not just want to string together effective numbers in colorful succession. Instead, the physical actions revolve around a theme that is important for performers and spectators alike. In this piece, the six deal concretely with the old but nevertheless never outdated question of how we as individuals can retain our freedom and still experience community as something positive.
Tickets are € 29-45 for adults and € 12 for youths.
