In Switzerland and Germany, an advent wreath is a very traditional accessory to have in your home this time of year to mark down the time to Christmas. On each of the four Sundays before Christmas, one additional candle on the decorated wreath is lit.
The organization Sternenmehr is organizing a morning workshop where you can create your own advent wreath. They will provide a brief introduction into the history of the advent wreath (in German) and then show and help you make your own. All materials will be provided, but if you prefer, you can bring your own candles.
Cost is CHF 130, which includes all materials for the wreath and decorations (excluding the candles), as well as drinks and cookies. Candles are available (charged separately), or you can bring your own. Also, if you have your own garden shears you are welcome to bring them. You can register for this workshop via their website.
