Dancing means always being in motion, even mentally. The Dutch dance company Club Guy & Roni took this motto to heart, left their comfort zone and traveled to India. The encounter with Indian artists changed the company's view of life and the world. According to their own statements, its members now go about their work with less cynicism and more humility and tenderness. This all takes shape in their new stage piece “Fortune,” which brings together European and South Asian dancers on one stage and is accompanied by a percussion ensemble in which instruments from South Asia play an important role.
Given the global environmental problems, attention was also paid to sustainability—the production's stage design and costumes are made entirely from recycled material. Together, the actors embark on a journey of discovery with the aim of discovering the miracle of life in movement and sound.
