The Eurovision Song Contest is taking place in Basel this year, with the final on May 17. Reason enough to inaugurate the “Velo Bühne” (Velo stage) for this year and get it ready for the big spectacle. After the finale of the "grown-ups," the children can take to the stage on Sunday, like their role models of the previous evening, and create their very own song contest. The Velo Bühne will be running in parallel to the Gotthelf/Iselin "Quartierflohmi" (neighborhood flea market) , which will be taking place around the Oekolampadwiese. The little performers, equipped with microphones and glittery costumes, will provide the appropriate soundtrack to the event. The stage is theirs—grab the mic, get set, go!
