Verdi wrote 26 operas in the course of his long life, all of them masterpieces. This production, “Die Grosse Giuseppe Verdi Gala,” showcases the most beautiful works from the inexhaustible wealth of magnificent overtures, arias, and duets from operas such as “Nabucco,” “Rigoletto,” “Der Troubadour,” “La Traviata,” and “Aida.” The Giuseppe Verdi Gala is a European production: The orchestra and choir of the Opera Polska—founded in 1989 by Maestro Marek Tracz in cooperation with Wroclaw television—is made up of the best musicians and singers from the major opera houses in Poland and other countries.
