Dirty Sound Magnet

As teenagers from Fribourg, the three members of Dirty Sound Magnet devoured hundreds of albums while rehearsing with great intensity. Their passion quickly turned into an addiction and a total dedication to their art. Years of experimentation and practice led to the development of their sound and lifestyle. The uniqueness of their hypnotic music and kinetic live performances has won over audiences all over the world. Their show is unpredictable: shamanic stage presence, rock star charisma, instrumental skill, poetic vocals, tantalizing dynamics. Expect the unexpected.
The DNA of this award-winning Swiss act can be traced back to the "Golden Age of Rock" (60s, 70s), but rather than copying the heroes of the past, Dirty Sound Magnet have worked hard to break new ground of their own. Their music has been compared to a fusion of Led Zeppelin's energy and instrumental virtuosity, the raw power of Iggy Pop, and the mysticism of The Doors. By incorporating modern psych influences such as Tame Impala and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard along with thought-provoking lyrics that reflect the social turmoil of our times, Dirty Sound Magnet have created their own musical formula.
Since the release of their third and most successful studio album “DSM-III” in 2022, Dirty Sound Magnet have played over 750 shows, including sold-out tours in the U.K., Germany, and Mexico, and were awarded the “Best Swiss Rock Band” award in 2022, their second win after 2017. The group began to attract attention with their debut album “Western Lies,” released in 2017, which was followed their ambitious concept album “Transgenic” in 2019, and the live session album “Live Alert” in 2020. Recorded in just one session, the latter was a huge success and brought the band many new fans around the world. Dirty Sound Magnet's music is in a constant process of evolution, and their latest album “Dreaming in Dystopia,” which was released in 2023, is a testament to their artistic evolution..
