Dulce Pontes is a rare “pearl” in the international music scene, one of the best ambassadors of Portuguese music and a worthy successor to the great Fado diva Amalia Rodrigues. As an extremely well-known “Fadista,” Pontes is above all a versatile artist who, thanks to a repeated fado, landed the hit “Cancao Do Mar.” This in turn became the theme song for the film “Primal Fear” starring Richard Gere, which gave Pontes her international breakthrough. The range of her incredible vocal possibilities allows her to work with well-known artists such as Ennio Morricone, Andrea Bocelli, Cesaria Evora, Caetano Veloso, José Carreras, and many others.
