On this day, the Ebenrain Center for Agriculture, Nature, and Nutrition (based in Sissach, BL) will demonstrate how it relies on sustainable energy in agriculture and nutrition, including an electric tractor, solar-powered machines, energy use from biogas from animal waste, and information about energy-saving food preparation. Visitors can also look forward to numerous attractions, such as farm animals, pony rides (from 13:30-16:30) carriage rides, straw castle, petting zoo, Ebenrain garden, and tours of the Ebenrain Castle. In addition, farming families and agricultural organizations from the region will cook specialties from their own production, and the farmer's market will offer regional specialties.
