Pop star and singer/songwriter icon Elvis Costello is finally coming back to Switzerland, this time for two concerts in Luzern and Geneva. The 69-year-old Briton is one of the most talented and intelligent songwriters in music history. At the end of the 1970s, Costello's star began to shine: he flirted with the punk aesthetic of the time on his first grandiose albums, "This Year's Model" and "My Aim Is True." Shortly thereafter he created, with his band The Attractions, the commercial breakthrough in his homeland as well as in the United States. Countless collaborations as a musician (Annie Lennox, Brodsky Quartet, Burt Bacharach, Anne Sofie von Otter, The Roots) and as a producer (including The Pogues) have made Costello one of the most respected musicians in our time. He comes to Switzerland with his longtime companion and pianist Steve Nieve this fall—pure Elvis Costello.
Tickets are CHF 72.30-142.50.
