English Tour — Basel History in 7 Products

Historisches Museum Basel - Barfüsserkirche
Friday, 21 March
16:00-16:45

Author Richard Harvell will guide you through 10,000 years of Basel history by telling the story of seven Basel products. Understand how Basel turned scarcity into strength and used innovation and adaptability to excel. Each product opens a vivid window onto Basel creativity, commerce, and identity, showing how a small city’s big choices have shaped the modern world. Basel’s past becomes a tale of innovators and disrupters, of daring and contradiction—where women and immigrants play central roles.
Meeting place for the tour will be in the Barfüsserkirche and it will end at Barfüsserplatz; registration for this tour is recommended.
