The group European Jazz Meeting comprises four jazz greats from Italy, Holland, Germany, and Switzerland whose concert marks the start of a series of jazz evenings at the Restaurant Seegarten in Park im Grünen.
The quartet emerged from an intensive collaboration between the Basel jazz bassist Dominik Schürmann and the Roman tenor saxophonist Max Ionata. Their musical friendship gave rise to the desire for an international formation. Ionata brought in his long-time musician friend, the Dutch drummer Frits Landesbergen. On the piano, the choice fell on Martin Sasse from Cologne, currently one of the most sought-after jazz pianists.
You can enjoy the jazz concert by itself at 20:15, or combine it with a dinner at the restaurant starting at 18:00.
Cost is CHF 35 for the concert or CHF 75 for the concert and dinner.
