Exhibition — Gudrun Sallaberger-Plakolb

Centrepoint‘s Artwall will be hosting an exhibition showcasing the talents of artist Gudrun Sallaberger-Plakolb. Having started her creative journey in Sweden in 2001, she has constantly expanded her repertoire of techniques, working with oils, pastels, water-color, and mixed media. She expresses her emotions, mood, and the atmosphere she is surrounded by—especially in nature—which results in the changing themes in her works.
For the last 8 years, Sallaberger-Plakolb has mainly been working with soft pastels in a photorealistic style. She feels the need for her artwork to evoke positive emotions for the viewer, as a contrast to the difficult quality of our times. The theme of her works are often symbolic and enigmatic. Sallaberger-Plakolb received her art degree from the Academie-Noord in Brasschaat, Belgium. Moving to Switzerland in 2011, she co-ran the art collective “frontofbicycle” in Basel from 2013 until 2023.
Her exhibition on the Centrepoint Artwall will run from April 3 until May 23. On this evening, all are invited to the vernissage of this exhibit.
Entrance is free but small donations will be appreciated.
