Singer Mariana Arroja will be coming to the Parterre One for an evening of Portuguese Fado and Brazilian music along with leading jazz musician and teacher at the Jazz Campus, Fábio Gouvea. Arroja is a singer, composer, and scriptwriter who is an ambassador of the soul of Portuguese music and culture. She is considered by many as the embodiment of the word “Saudade” and has gained a loyal following for her soulful and captivating performances.
Gouvea is a guitarist, composer, and arranger with a strong melodic approach, a deep harmonic concept, and an uplifting rhythmic feel. He is currently one of the most in-demand Brazilian artists of his generation.
Together, Arroja and Gouvea will bring you storytelling, Fado, and jazz in a unique musical experience not to be missed! The evening will be made complete with a buffet of Portuguese finger foods.
