Fast donkeys, dazzling fish, proud lions, and graceful turtles—they all meet up with many other animals to celebrate the “Carnival of the Animals.” This time, a few extra guests from the animal world have sneaked into the parade. With a number of musical quotations and allusions, this fun treat by Camille Saint-Saëns was composed for chamber orchestra and two pianos.
“Der Karneval der Tiere” is a cooperation between the Sinfonieorchester Basel and Theater Basel.
Tickets cost CHF 20 for adults, CHF 10 for children, and CHF 12.50 per person for families with two adults and two children.
