The Museum für Musikautomaten (Museum of Musical Automatons) in Seewen houses one of the world's largest collections of Swiss music boxes and a diverse selection of musical automatons from past centuries. The current exhibit “Magic Piano” relives the golden era of piano playing and its self-playing wonders. For this exhibition, the museum has had its reproduction instruments painstakingly restored to ensure near-perfect technical and musical reproduction.
On this day, the museum offers a day full of interactive experiences for the whole family. Visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to explore the fascinating world of musical automatons and try out many things for themselves—for example, by taking a look at the workshop, at one of the testing stations, or during the treasure hunt in the archive. The museum restaurant will be open all day for the occasion.
