The Swiss salt mines have been extracting, storing, and distributing salt for Switzerland for 450 years. The three salt mines in Schweizerhalle, Riburg, and Bex produce up to 650,000 tons of salt every year.
On this day, the Saline Schweizerhalle in Pratteln will open their doors and warmly invite you to a family day in their impressive salt storage hall—an unforgettable experience for young and all. There will be opportunity to “play” with salt instead of sand, got on a salt mountain slide, and enjoy plenty of drinks as well as sweet and of course salty/savoury treats.
